Detroit-area stair lift planning

A direct route. A considered decision.

Start with a single uninterrupted flight, then look carefully at the space around it.

What makes a flight straight?

A continuous flight with no turns is the starting point for discussing a straight rail. Changes in direction or separate flights need a different assessment.

Check the top and bottom

Nearby doors, hallway traffic, and getting on and off the seat matter. Ask a provider to explain the rail endpoints and chair parking position.

Look at the complete installation

Ask about the measured width, mounting method, power requirements, training, and ongoing service for the proposed model. Do not assume a lift fits because a similar staircase appears in a photo.

Put your questions in writing.
